Perhaps with the widespread use of the tag, other search engines will follow suit. ----------------------------------------------------------------- ==> New Google Click-to-play Video Ads http://www.searchreturn.com/digest/refs065.shtml Essentials: Remaining out front of the major search engine ad platforms, Google's AdWords announced new support of video ads. The new format is rolling out in the US, Canada and Japan to start. The click-to-play ads will need to compete for position in ad rankings with image and text ads in the same way as these other formats, (click-thru-rate determines a quality factor calculated for rankings as much as higher bid amounts). ----------------------------------------------------------------- ==> Google Class Action Settlement Email http://www.seroundtable.com/archives/003858.html Essentials: Last week, Google sent all advertisers details about their settlement with Lane's Gifts and Collectibles, and the class action which resulted from that case. With respect to most advertisers the settlement is not nearly adequate, and many appear to be leaing towards opting out. Details and links to lively forum discussion are available at SERoundtable. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Stay Tuned.
