==> SES Session Audio
Hello everyone,
The good folks at WebmasterRadio.fm were able to capture the
keynote with Barry Diller, and they also managed to capture three
sessions. If you haven't had the chance to visit a Search Engine
Strategies conference, the following audio links will give you a
sense of what panels are like. A lot of great ideas can be heard,
although it can be difficult to fully comprehend the subject
matter without actually seeing the visual aide. The file sizes
are large due to the length of session audio.

==> Click Fraud Settlement
http://news.com.com/2100-1030_3-6047717.html
Essentials: A $90 million dollar settlement by Google is not the
final word, however, it certainly shows the seriousness of this
issue. Click fraud was noted in the filing papers when Google
initially went public. It is a problem that can erode confidence
in the search advertising medium. These low quality links
threaten the current infrastructure because they cannot fully be
detected when sophisticated tactics are used to hide it. Every
search advertiser is affected by it generally to the degree that
their industry is competitive in nature.

==> Live.com Goes Beta
http://news.com.com/2100-1032_3-6046584.html
Essentials: After announcing they will catch Google in terms of
relevancy within six months, nearly a year later, MSN Search
looks a lot like Google did in 1999. Microsoft's big initiative
with Live as a search enabled portal was soft launched just prior
to the Holidays. It sports the word: Beta. It looks like from
comments about Live that it will remain in Beta for as lengthy a
period of time as Google is known to publish near complete
services in Beta form.
The slider scroll for search results in Live is one different way
to display the information. There are users known to appreciate
pagination (page 1, 2, 3...) so they can navigate deep into the
result set. These users are suspicious that the top results are
paid for, or are there by virtue of some other nefarious means.
Not all search users will like the Live slider scroll.
